Day-by-Day Itinerary
Into the Highlands
Begin your highland adventure from Colombo. Ride northeast through the lush Kandyan foothills, stopping at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage before arriving in the cultural capital of Kandy.
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
The iconic climb begins! Wind through endless tea plantations on switchback roads, past waterfalls and viewpoints. Visit a tea factory and watch the sunset over Little England.
Nuwara Eliya & Horton Plains
Early morning hike to World's End at Horton Plains National Park, then a leisure afternoon exploring the charming colonial town. Optional visit to a spice garden.
Nuwara Eliya to Ella
The most spectacular day — ride past the famous Nine Arch Bridge, stop at Ravana Falls, and climb Little Adam's Peak for panoramic views of the valley. Ella is magical.
Ella to Udawalawe
Descend from the highlands through the tea country to the dry zone. Visit Udawalawe National Park for an elephant safari on a wildlife-friendly open vehicle.
Udawalawe to Galle
Head south to the coast, arriving at the magnificent Galle Fort — a Dutch colonial fortress now buzzing with boutique shops, restaurants and culture.
Galle — Final Day & Farewell
Morning walk through Galle Fort, then transfer back to Colombo for evening flights. A farewell dinner with your Rode Culture team and fellow riders.
